It begins with one step...
Switching from Bridges.
To begin is the most important part of any quest and by far the most courageous. - Plato
Hello, I am Lorenzo. I have over 20 years of IT industry experience that includes Desktop Support, Network Support, Troubleshooting, Reporting, Presentation and Project Specialist skills. The one item I have been fascinated with and have always wanted to explore is the world of Cisco. I had an opportunity to work at a Operational Tech Support desk 8 years ago that would have put me directly in the world of switch routing support, but I was offered a position to be a vendor liaison and I went on that path. To this day, I wonder what would have been.
The purpose of this blog is two fold. First, to introduce myself to my future employers and second to document my journey into the world of Cisco.
I will share my successes as well as my challenges. It will be an honest effort to wade and then swim in this pool of the network world.
My approach is to review all the basics and build on a strong foundation. To do this, I will start with the CompTIA A+, then CompTIA Network+ certifications then move to the Cisco path beginning with the CCNA and moving to the CCNP. From there... we will see.
To develop good habits, this blog will document one new bit of knowledge I learn each day. It may be complex or it may be simple, but it will be related to IT networking. I welcome you to join me as I start this quest. Let's do this!
